Problem solved! At least i think so. Amavis has a script that should
replace qmail-queue (previously doing "cp qmail-queue qmail-queue-real")
and it tells that this script is owned by qmailq, and so should the
/var/amavis dir where it keeps its logs. Yet, it is QMAILD and not QMAILQ
who calls qmail-queue (and the logs), and since it didn't have the right
permisions it went into a loop that sucked up the whole memory, or
something to this effect...
So,there it is. One question remains though: is it reasonable that qmaild
calls qmail-queue instead of qmailq? Our is something else wrong?
Thanks anyway for the help.
Regards,
Cecilia.
