Hi all,

If have a question concering "virtual users" and aliases.
An obvious way is to use ~alias/.qmail-SOMETHING aliases. If SOMETHING is a vali
d user then .qmail-.... will be ignored.
But what about the users/assign file?? I looks to me that entries in this file w
ill always be used even when the user exists. Am I correct??

My actual goal is to create a unix user which collects the mail all my desired v
irtual users (users without shell access).
The reason for this is that a) these users don't need shell access b) couriers w
ebmail has the suid in order to be able to read/write Maildir. With this mail-su
peruser i get rid of the suid root bit.

and then make the appropriate entries in users/assign.

I think this is the better solution than using .qmail aliases.
Am I right or are there some important issues I didn't see?

Thanks,
Gregor
