Use PostgreSQL or MySQL for your lists. Then setup a trigger to remove that
email address from the regular list
when they subscribe to the digest and vice versa if you wish. The problem is
if you want to monitor both the digest and the list. In which cash you would
have to subscribe to both before setting up the trigger or use different
email addresses.
