I think this alias forward discussion is very useful. But it should
go further in terms of user interface.

The enduser doesn't see any difference between alias and forwards.
They think more in terms of an _E-Mail Address_.

That's why qmailadmin should be modified to just let users create
emailadresses and decide what kind of email address it is: does it
have a mailbox, is it forwarded to one or many addresses, does it
have an autoreply... and so on. Everything should be manageable from
the "Address point of view" because thats what users think about.

For implementation i think about to just create a directory for
everey e-mail address. At the moment there are .qmail-address files
and address/.qmail files. Maybe it is easier if you only use the
second one and manage all kind of stuff in there. i already made this
modification for me to use vacation messages which are safed inside
the directory and can be reused if i activate the vacation message
again.

Are there any drawbacks if you always create a mailbox for each
address even if its not used as a Maildir? some disadvantages are:
- more users are allowed to pop in
- slightly more disk space is used
- more quota management
are there any others?

kind regards
