if this was my system....and assuming i didn't have much setup on it
qmailadmin/vpopmail wise..i would do a fresh reinstall, watch the compiling
closly and try to spot anything obscure..

i will try a qmailadmin install today on my openbsd 3.4/sparc64 and see if i
can get the same thing you get....
