I have modified mod_user.html commenting out the password fields in order
to disable non-postmaster password changing.
I now need to make modifications that would allow the Postmaster to be
able to change passwords. However I cannot find any way to this with the
html files in /usr/local/share/qmailadmin/html/. Guess I had hoped I
could just modify the 'showuser' screen to point to a
mod_user_postmaster.html page that does include the password fields. But I
think this may be beyond my capabilitites and it not simply an edit to
show_users.html.
If you are using a recent version of qmailadmin (maybe 1.0.20 and later?) then you can simply put "##ta" before the password fields and "##tt" after. This will ensure that they're only visible for "administrators".
