I'm getting this error:

[Sat Apr 15 01:37:20 2006] [error] [client 68.54.234.5] vmysql: can't read
settings from /var/vpopmail/etc/vpopmail.mysql, referer:
http://www.terra-hosting.net/cgi-bin/qmailadmin
<http://www.terra-hosting.net/cgi-bin/qmailadmin>

In my apache log.

While I fully understand what this means that it cannot read the settings
from the file. Here is the perms set:

# ls -la /var/vpopmail/etc/vpopmail.mysql

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root vpopmail 18 Apr 14 22:14 vpopmail.mysql ->
/etc/vpopmail.conf

Ok, so the standard gentoo emerge makes this a symbolic link. Let's also
look at the real link:

etc # ls -la /etc/vpopmail.conf

-rw-r----- 1 root vpopmail 76 Apr 14 22:14 /etc/vpopmail.conf

I see the perms are set for user root, group vpopmail. RW by root and read
only by vpopmail. Cool..

I cannot login as vpopmail because it has a nologin shell.

I followed these instructions to the letter:

http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/qmail-howto.xml
<http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/qmail-howto.xml>

Unemerged, tried again, etc... Still nothing. Is there something I'm
missing. I have googled everywhere and find no solution for this matter. If
anyone needs more information, please... By all means, ask.. :)

Thanks, Chris Faulkner
