Hey Dicky, I have a couple of questions: 1) Are you planning on having two physical servers? 2) Any particular reason as to why you don't want to use clamav?
If you are planning on having 1 physical server then you can just reconfigure the simscan-toaster rpm and modify it for TrendMicro. According to the simscan page, http://www.inter7.com/?page=simscan, simscan supports trendmicro.
