Erik,
Thanks again. I was so close, yet so far. I had looked at rpm -ql simscan-toaster, but not close enough at the -qi option.

Was the qmail-queue-custom-error.patch patch located in the contrib directory applied to the source? The README says it's necessary for that option to work. I suppose I could test it.

I'm still baffled as to why I'm getting the standard rejected message on occasion. Is it definitely coming from simscan, or could it be coming from tcp.smtp rules?

Is there any chance of getting a simcontrol file added to a future release? Is that something I can do for the project, or is it not included for some good reason?

The '--enable-custom-smtp-reject' flag is turned on already.

# rpm -qi simscan-toaster

 Thanks for that tidbit, Erik.

I'm still trying to track down my "554 mail server permanently rejected
message (#5.3.0)" problem, and the simscan README indicates that this is the standard rejection message. I'd like to use the --enable-custom-smtp-reject
option to clarify the situation. I can't figure out why they're being
rejected.
1) How do you suggest I enable this option? This type of generic message
really bugs me.
2) How do you suggest I track this down? Should I modify the tcp.smtp file
instead?

Thanks for all the great work you've put into this, and for your assistance.
