That's a little discouraging, but the real test will be to find their
address in the smtp logs. That'll show whether the IP is being rejected by
RBLs or not, and possibly a hint why they're failing.

When you use qtp-newmodel (part of qmailtoaster-plus) to do the upgrade,
your toaster will be offline for 5-10 minutes or so max (depends on your
processor and the number of packages being updated). All of the packages
will have been built and installed in a sandbox (while the production server
is still running), so there's really very little risk. Just make sure you
have plenty of free disk space, unless your kernel can support the new
unionfs, in which case you don't need much additional disk space at all.
Just run qtp-newmodel and it'll guide you through the process.
