Is it possible that your control/timeoutconnect setting is too short? If you
do not have the file then the timeout defaults to 60 seconds - which should
be okay.

Subject: [qmailtoaster] No remote delivery

My mailserver have run now without trouble for several years, suddenly last
week it stopped sending emails to remote hosts. I get the:

Sorry,_I_wasn't_able_to_establish_an_SMTP_connection._(#4.4.1)

each time.. and it happens on each and every mail, not just for some domains
(mac.com, google.com and so on and so on)

I've tried
* turning off the firewall
* telnet to smtp servers without any problems
* dig mx google.com - no problems, very fast

Please help..
