Hi Mike, 
for a long time I had problems sending on port 25, authentication errors etc 
etc.

So for the hell of it , I called my service providers (in Canada)
The two largest service providers , " always" block port 25, regardless, unless 
you are a business and have a static IP address.

So I had to either fork out more cash or change to port 587.
No brainer.

That may also be your issue.  Just a thought.
