When using port 143, you *must* use encryption (TLS/STARTTLS). Otherwise, dovecot will reject the connection. This is a secure setting.
Which Outlook version? They all behave a bit differently regarding imap. Sometimes deleting the account and recreating it is the best solution. Outlook (especially pre-07) can be problematic when it gets its brain scrambled.
Shall i use pki/ssl certificate for this. Please let me know then steps for dovecot conf for certification issue. I have clicked above link and i couldn't able to see the certificate installation procedure. Kindly help me to resolve this issue.
Please do a little googling before asking questions. There are tons of pages on the internet regarding this. Even our wiki has a page about it. If you simply go to the wiki (http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com) and enter "certificate" in the find/search box, it'll take you straight there.
