eric

i am using thunderbird 17 on a windows 7 machine

normal pop3 / smtp / imap works fine

with imap / pop3 -- ssl/tls or starttls with password authentication method :
normal

it does not work.

similarly when i use starttls for outgoing smtp, it does not work.

i am not aware of any cipher keys on thunderbird

how to generate thunderbird cipher keys ?

Which part is not working with TBird?
Which version/OS of TBird?
What are you cipher keys?

I'm using TBird v16 on ubuntu, and smtp and imap work fine with starttls.
