I think 19152 of vchkpw[19152] is the process id. Can you look through
the log file in /var/log/qmail/smtp, /var/log/qmail/send, and
/var/log/qmail/submission for such a process?
Ah - I should have thought of that. I thought the pid was long-gone, but
of course it’s logged. And it turned up in the smtp log, not the
submission log. So I’ve been softlimiting the wrong process! The
softlimit in /var/qmail/supervise/smtp/run is 64000000 still. I’ll pump
that up and see how it goes, but I’m pretty confident now.
Thanks very much for the clues. Will report back after the weekend, but
I’ve got a good feeling now. :)
