1) Yes
but
2) QMT, after patching, has all the patches of netqmail-1.06. There are
some documentation differences though. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
I was attempting this (what I think you're attempting) and was bogged
down in the monolithic patch file qmailtoaster-1.2.3(?). I'm not sure I
like the big patch files IMHO they're difficult to sort out.
Uscpi-tcp6 does (or should not) affect QMT.
So, netqmail-1.05 is qmail-1.03 with a recommended patch bundle included
but unapplied (applied at make, I think). Netqmail-1.06 has the
recommended patch bundle applied already and the documentation in the
code indicating as much. Again, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

ohh, that's above my pay grade. unless (maybe) you can offer me some answers:
1.) current qmt is net-qmail v1.05 yes?
2.) if i attempt to get net-qmail 1.06 and patch it, what
configuration selections are needed to match qmt's implementation /
config files / etc?
3.) anything else i may need to know?
Thanks.

Hi Fabian,
Have a look here ucspi-tcp6 and here.
If you get it tested and implemented can you let us know how? I've been a
little busy lately.

Where is qmt lately with ipv6 support, specifically for the SMTP side?
