Hi Helder!

Re-posting, as this didn't make it onto the mailing list? Strange. Has
anybody recently noticed that as well (i.e. unrelated to not including
posts that were _intentionally_ caught by the spam protection due to
wrong sender address or file size)?

You're right, while generating and packaging a qooxdoo app is rather easy
(it can even be made (semi-)automatic by the build process), the security
restrictions are not.

But still, it shouldn't be a problem to run a totally unmodified qooxdoo
app in AIR. It just can't be used for the application sandbox (e.g. due to
the lazy evaluations of dynamic properties after application startup). A
non-application sandbox is fine, and as Adobe is providing a "bridge", AIR
API could selectively be exposed to the qooxdoo app. This is a potential
security issue, though, which needs careful inspection and fool-proof
wrappers.

Even if AIR is lacking some features as you noted, I think it's a
promising runtime, and a perfect match for qooxdoo.

Bye,

Andreas
