Sorry for the broken links to screenshot and archive. To be fair, though,
they wouldn't help much. This proof-of-concept is quite out-dated...

Back in July 2007 we were one of the first adopters of Adobe AIR, way
before its 1.0 was finally released (Feb 2008??). API progress and
security changes require some significant changes to the original code.

Still, it can be done: qooxdoo's build process is able to do all the
processing and packaging that is required for a deployable AIR app. While
the security restrictions are more difficult to cope with, Adobe did a
smart job there, accounting for some alternative scenarios, so it's still
possible to run a regular qooxdoo app as an AIR app.

I reworked AIR support in qooxdoo a while ago, but it wasn't all too
polished and complete, so it actually never made it into 0.7.x or
qooxdoo-contrib. But I'm sure that AIR support will be available for
qooxdoo apps not too far from now. Some people/collaborators just
continued working on it, so this time we'll make sure to get it in.
