Hi Jim did you do anything further with a patch or extending the table that
you can share?

I was quite surprised at the default behaviour as well.

Ideally you want to be able to use 'return' or 'tab' to navigate the table
row by row. i.e. each cell in a row before moving to the next row.  Skipping
non editable cells would be a bonus.
