Derrell Thanks you are a 'STAR'!! Although I had tried out something similar which sort of worked my worry was that I did not know what else I'd overridden from the Super method and I did not know how to pass this back to the Super for completion. The last bit of your table modification code explains that but it also raises another question.
How does the Super know that we have already dealt with the Return or Tab keys and therefore not to do anything with them further? I'll have a go at skipping non-editable fields which doesn't look that difficult ...famous last words ;)!! Thanks for your help again.
