+1 for moving contrib projects under separate repositories under
github.com/qooxdoo-contrib. when you create qooxdoo-contrib as a github
organization, you can manage permissions on a project-by-project basis.
this will give every project its own list of committers along with
separate issue trackers, wikis, etc, which, i want to believe, will
result in increased visibility for contrib projects, which in turn will
better motivate people to write qooxdoo contribs.

that said, if the qooxdoo-contrib is going to go through such a
fundamental change, maybe its governance model should be changed as
well. why not reinvent it as, say, qooxpi (a la pypi) where you grant
access to global variable names on a first-come-first-served basis
automatically instead of granting this authority manually? you could
even use an existing pypi implementation like djangopypi. while you're
at it, stop calling them "contribs" and just call them packages.

qooxpi:// already sounds like a nice protocol prefix, doesn't it? ;)
