Hi All: Is there a way I can tell when someone checks there mail and if they downloaded their mail (a qpopper log). I have a few clients saying they were sent a message but never received it. The mail.log shows were a message came from someone to them. In fact, below is a portion of the mail log showing a message from and to..

Oct 16 16:59:00 aesrg sendmail[15048]: i9GLx0qF015048: from=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, size=5193, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, proto=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=ag.tamu.edu [165.91.106.93]
Oct 16 16:59:00 aesrg sendmail[15051]: i9GLx0qF015048: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=local, pri=35391, dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent

The particular client (sally_doe) does not show any email received from Oct 15 to Oct 18. Any idea's. Thanks, Jim

If you run qpopper with the -s command line option, it will print statistics to your mail log after every pop3 session. We leave this on all the time.

The format is:

popper: Stats: username a b c d hostname ip-address

Where:

a = number of messages deleted during the session
b = total number of bytes in deleted messages
c = number of messages left on the server after the session
d = total number of bytes in messages left on the server.

Try enabling this stats mode and it should answer your questions..

Simon
