You just make those stick at the top of the (sub)forums... With the added
benefit that you get a sort of web-of-trust as well as a hierarchy allowing
new (and old, of course) users to get a better view of who's doing what job
and how well they're doing it.
Sure, a badly structured forum wouldn't work well, but with the right
structure I think it'd work quite well; and if the wiki's still around then
we could get the best of both worlds if people take the time to copy plugins
and the fine manuals etc to the wiki (not that I think that anyone will
actually do that).
Using vBulletin it'd be quite easy to move threads around, add new
moderators, new subforums for whatever people want to discuss and so on...
