We have been using Dreamweaver since version 3. Each new version
includes a tutorial, & one of the earlier versions had a tutorial called
Compass travel. I put all the resources for this tutorial on the
network and got the students to construct a travel website. The details
are below.

The Company
You are a web site designer at a busy design agency, and have lots of
experience with Dreamweaver. You have been approached by a new client
called *Compass Travel*, and they have asked you to design a new website
for their company.
Compass Travel are a travel company based in Los Angeles, & they
specialize in adventure holidays. They currently offer holidays to three
destinations, *California* (California Surfing Safari), *New Zealand*
(Mt Hutt Biking ) & *Wyoming* (rock climbing Devil's Tower). They offer
adventures in
* Hiking
* Kayaking
* Surfing
* Fishing
* Skiing &
* Mountain Bike Riding
*Design Brief*
Compass Travel would like you to design a 7 page web site, comprising
the following pages:
* Home page (index.htm)
* Destinations page
* Page for each of the three destinations
* Trip planner page which contains a booking form
* Travel log page where users can add their experiences with Compass
Travel
*Essential Criteria for Web Site*
Your website must contain the following elements:
* a *template* to ensure that each page has the same look & feel
* a *cascading style sheet (css)*, so that fonts, coloours &
presentations can be updated centrally
* use of supplied* images/animations *
* use of *titles* and appproriate* naming conventions* for web pages
* *booking form* containing text fields, list/menu, and submit &
reset buttons
* appropriate *navigation links* at top and bottom pf page (hint
*template*!!)
* company logo on each page (hint *template*!!)
* rollover images
Your finished website must be published on:
www.nyandashs.eq.edu.au/home/username/Compass

There are a selection of images & animations (swfs) & texts on
g:\Common\Assets\Dreamweaver\Compass_Holiday
