As with the uncertainty about when VET could possibly be removed from the syllabus, the same applies to this ... business as usual until advice comes from QSA. The QSA memos are generally very clear about what needs to be done with reasonable timelines. You'll send yourself crazy if you try to second guess these things, however it's useful to be aware of developments and be prepared for change.
I believe there are significant changes in the new AQTF. I haven't looked at it yet - has anyone heard anything about teacher qualifications? Kym -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Joshua Paech Sent: Saturday, August 28, 2010 8:45 PM To: QSITE ICT Teachers Subject: [qsiteict] ICA10 training package and ITS So we finally have confirmation that ITS teachers are stuck with the Cert II until 2013. What I'd like to know is where does the new ICA10 training package fit in with this? The new Cert II is significantly different to the old one. You can view the draft here: http://ica10-tp-review.wikispaces.com/file/view/C+Qual+wood+ICA20110+CII +in+Info+DigMed%26Tech+100802.pdf It's now called a Cert II in Information, Digital Media and Technology, and it seems that all of the core competencies have changed. Will this new Cert II be in ITS from 2011? Are there plans underway to update the ITS syllabus to reflect this? I am currently trying to write my ITS work program for when we introduce it next year, but I don't want to plan it based on the ICA05 Cert II only to find out it is not being used next year. Can anyone shed any light on this? --- You are currently subscribed to qsiteict as: [email protected].
