I join in the concern here.

The question I have is whether that desire to have community control will persist. The new CEO is from Microsoft - not exactly a big advocate of open source.

I just started using Qt last month for a commercial, closed-source project after convincing my client that it was the right way to go. I now have to question if this is still a good way to go.
