Hello,I have a small problem with the installation of Qt4.6 I downloaded today and installed on my Vista computer. I had 4.5 installed and working and when double clicking on a .pro file, it would start the Qt creator application. After I installed 4.6 it would still start 4.5. So I uninstalled 4.5, but it wouldn't start 4.6 when double clicking on a .pro file. It ask me for the program to use instead. So I go into \Qt\bin and select QtCreator, but Vista ignores this. I incidently clicked on pdf viewer and now I got the acroread icon associated to .pro files.
I suspect that it is a security measure of Vista to ignore binding to applications outside Program Files directory.
I can start QTCreator from the Start menu and then open the .pro file.I just wanted to report the "feature" which may be just a side effect of installing 4.6 on top of 4.5 and uninstalling 4.5. If someone could give me the change to do in the registry (I suppose) to solve this, it would help me a lot.
