I see that ubuntu for example has some jambi packages. But as I said, I think 
that they have modified compile flags of qtc++ too in deb-srcs to 
successfully build jambi on ubuntu.

Maybe I should help with this, creating a deb package is not a hard work. Much 
harder work is to make that package 'official'.
  
That would really be great if you have some experience with this from
before? Are you able to set up a third-party deb repository? If so, Eskil and
Gunnar, would it be possible to put out some news on your web site
about this?

I guess dependencies for Jambi 4.5 should be

> Qt libs 4.5.0
> OpenJRE 1.6
