The resonance in this thread suggests otherwise. If command-line
parsing wasn't common, why would KCmdLineArgs be used by each and
every KDE application? [1]

By the way, as I outlined, I do not have time at my disposal right now
to implement this in the level of quality required for inclusion into
Qt, but I hope that someone feels the urge to scratch this itch.

[1] For those who only know QApplication: The usual setup for a
KDE-style main() is 1. create KAboutData (with author and copyright
information), 2. handle argv with KCmdLineArgs, 3. create
KApplication.
