I'm not sure the aircraft industry is financially capable of retrofitting their fleets to do that. Changes to the floors subframe would be expensive, and considering the small percentage of motorized wheelchair users to that of the whole passenger users it is doubtful that the support for such a measure would go through. Now suggesting that "Future" aircraft designs should consider modifying a row in first class to be swappable space, putting a row of seats into the cargo hold instead of our chairs???
