Hi River,

I'm sorry to hear about your mortgage company.  They handled your loan request in a pretty sloppy manner.  I think companies that work that way are just plain dumb.  Best of luck with the next loan!

HI everyone,

Tony I hope you're EVACUATING as I write. Get the heck out of dodge.
Just so that everyone knows my post to Tony was meant to be private,
sorry wheel if I offended you.

Anyway, after two months the mortgage company we were working with has
screwed us over big time. They strung us along all of this time,
apparently the loan was turned down over a month ago, but no one
bothered to tell us. They submitted it to another lender and
MISREPRESENTED us and our intentions and it was turned down again. This
happened after they told us we were closing the following day. Things
were bought, bills were paid off, in anticipation of getting the loan.
I have NEVER been told I was closing on a loan and then have it go
sour. You just don't do that to people. I have written letters to the
Mortgage Brokers Assoc, the BBB and a homeowner referral list. I
called the corporate office and they of course, are on the side of the
broker. I'm beginning to lose faith in people, at this point I can't
count on two hands how many things have gone wrong because people don't
do their jobs honestly, simply don't do the job, or discriminate
because I'm disabled, gay and poor.

Soooo, we have to start all over with the loan process. I'm doing my
best to keep my ex's attorney at bay. Just so that everyone
knows...this would not be happening had I been able to marry. Our
"partnership agreement" in the end meant nothing. Now I am suffering,
and am threatened with losing my van again.

Thanks for your support everyone, remember my story is that of
countless others in this country we SHARE and call the freest in the
world.

peace out,

Riv
