I guess you skipped this part? "The political mindset during the Cold war caused many mistakes to be made, however we couldn't do nothing. It is a little Yin/Yang that luckily never ended in Communist domination or nucleur winter."
And if you'd been following the thread, I blame those world leaders who turned their backs instead of enforcing the Treaty of Versillies on most of our military conflicts beginning with WWII. If we are to learn from history, the 1991 treaty HAD to be enforced. Everytime Israel has tried to find a peace solution some moron of a terror group attacks their citizens. Do they use overkill when retaliating? I guess that depends on if it was one of your children murdered by a suicide bomber. When tens of millions of your people have been murdered in less than a century it tends to wear on your patience. They showed great restraint when Sadamn was dropping SCUDS on them. I'd call it recognizing you're in a fight for survival. meathead moore would have you believe it is just about oil. I don't think it has registered with you yet. The Terrorists are RELIGIOUS FANATICS! They only want to kill us and don't care if they die in the process. They don't care if you give them something they want, they will still kill you, or your children. They have been brainwashing children to follow in their footsteps. This IS WWIII. They have terror cells hidden throughout the world. It just isn't the type of war we thought WWIII would be. Instead of total destruction between super powers, it is car bombs and suicide attacks. Now we can fight them or try to hope they'll just leave us alone. Since 9/11 I know my choice. I'd gladly fight if they'll just give me a way. Because this isn't about me, it's about what kind of world the children of tomorrow will grow up in. That includes children of Iraq etc. Was is hell, it should be. Bin hidden forgot what happens when this sleeping giant gets attacked and we couldn't afford to take the chance that Sadamned would supply them with WMDs. Stuntman (a vet who knows that terrorists don't practice "touchy feely" politics and is expressing an educated opinion) > Feeling self-righteous and violent is easy.
