That's all that's helped take the edge off of pain for me AND helps with stiffness and spasms. But it's damned expensive and I don't have insurance for my meds.
My husband has tried twice (without me knowing) to wean me off of it because I hate being on it for the expense and sluggish bowel side effects. By doing it blindly with me ... my mind wouldn't know I was off of it so as not to jinx the try. But he said I complained of pain more the days he did do that.
I tried to substitute it 4 yrs ago with the duragesic patch but it didn't help. Ces la vie.

The only thing that stopped my major pains and my spasms was Oxycontin. I tried all the spasm meds and not one helped. I think the Oxy stopped it because my spasms must have been caused by the pain from the SP cath and a hip problem. I had such bad pain, I would wake up dreaming my leg was on fire or getting crushed by something. Greg
