So far I have tried a permobile and an Invacare storm.  I like both of them, but my vendor told me that for permobiles are sometimes not as reliable as Invacare.  He said that Invacares are the leaders in power wheelchairs.  According to him permobile and quickie are still playing catch-up.  Its not that I dont trust him; I just want a more influential point of view and they figured a little input from all of you guys would help me out.  For all I know he could be getting a kickback from Invacare.

Manufacturers change with each production year.  So do their products which
includes wheelchairs.  Someone may design a cheaper part on a successful
production chair and mess up a beautiful thing.  So remember that only Big Mac's
stay the same from one side of the country to the other.  Wheelchairs vary.  Know
what you are getting a try one out before you make the plunge.

<< Hello everybody,I know I don't commune with you guys very often, mostly
because my schoolwork is very demanding and I find that the discussion group
combined with school is overwhelming.  But, I have a question for you all.  I'm
supposed to be getting a new wheelchair and I was wondering if switching from
an Invacare would be appropriate.  Currently I had an Invacare Rangers x storm
series.  Different people have suggested that I get either a quickie or a
permobile.  I just don't know which way to go.  I haven't had any trouble with my
Invacare, but if there is a better power chair out there please let me know.
