When I heard about the movie it was very vague about how the movie exactly ended. Upon finding out Clint Eastwood was the director and given his previous ardent position against the ADA, I adopted a negative feeling toward this movie. I have not seen this movie, however, and cannot in good conscience say whether he is correct or not in how he portrayed this film. His stated position is he was simply telling a story. I will wait and see it when it comes out on one of the movie channels. I really appreciate your feedback. It is interesting to get the view that a person who is paralyzed. I have specifically avoided telling anyone that as not in my immediate family about the ending of this film. I do not want to wreck it for them, but I felt compelled to warn my family, as I thought they might be offended by what I had been told was the ending.

I Know there was some earlier controvercy over this movie, Me and my wife went to see it and really liked it-- even tho it was one of the most touching and saddest movies we have seen. In the movie Clint Eastwood loved the girl like his own daughter.. he never wanted to even help kill her and felt it would even doom him if he did. She was a c-1-2 very high quad and getting awful bedsores requiring amputation even . When it comes out on dvd or any more get to see it let me know what you think? I'm not sure why some were angry about it.....was it statements Eastwood made about disabled prior to this movie ?Not trying to upset any that hated it just curious... Dan-c-6
