I have not made any comment on all posts about Terri's condition until now. In my opinion, it's a personal family matter that should not be in the press. As for living wills, my wife and I had ours done the same time we made up our general will, which was several years ago. We were not afraid to make a living will because of death but we felt it was our responsibility to our children. We both stated what conditions that would need to be met before the plug would be pulled. To keep the families from feuding I asked two of my sisters to make the decision to pull the plug for me and she asked two of her siblings to make the decision to pull the plug for her if the conditions were met. We did not want one family to make the decision for both of us that is why we each picked our individual siblings to do it for us. We are going to have to talk to our lawyer in the near future to discuss the living will since our children are getting older. |
