Yep, keeping busy is a must. Forced business after my accident allowed
me to go on.
Last night I read a short article on the blues in Woman's World mag......
It said to write in a diary 15 minutes daily on "what CAN I do about this?" rather than
listing a bunch of complaints.
It hit home because I have a whole diary on my PC that was only written in when I was sad, pissed, bored, down, etc.
Then I whined/vented via email to family that I was bored. God - re-reading it all was depressing in itself!
I see now how that was/is so destruictive or self-defeating. Also, tell that inner voice in your head
to just shut-up! Further, although I'm not religious, I'll pick up a book or an inspirational
reading that makes me high naturally.
Or a favorite funny movie ... stick it in and watch it.
Or think of all the hospitals full of ill or dying children and know that you do have it better than many.

You just have to force yourself to do things. Once you recognize you are depressed, your half way there. Now force yourself to get out and about. When I was in that condition, I thought for a long time of what I could do that was fun and different... So I went up on a hang-glider. A tandem flight... It was great.

I'm been very depressed lately. What do you guys do to ward it "it" off? I've been listening to some of my favorite music and talking to friends and my sweetheart.
