Is the chair at your house or at the vendors? How badly do you need the chair? I have a new chair that I got last year and its still sitting there. My chair is perfectly fine, runs well and has never given me any problems what so ever. I got carried away when I got my new cushion and the vendor salesman saw I was eligible for a new chair and I agreed to it. (with the medicaid cuts, it may be a 'good' thing that I have it) All of the tweeking has happened, but now I need to be "in it" to do any more tweeking , plus it needs a tie down system for my van and it sits 2 inches higher than this chair, so blocks will need to be put under my computer/tv table and now I will see "nothing" but ditch when in my van.
I would think it is the vendor not doing their job! I would change vendors! As far as company technical support, tell them you will report them to the Better Business Bureau and your attorney.
I know nothing about brands of w/c's but I do know good and bad service.
If you feel it is not the vendor, but the manufactorer--go to the President with a certified letter. Also see if you have a 'lemon law' in your state. take care,
Dana

Subject: [QUAD-L] blind
I thought I'd forward a copy of an email I received recently from a nice guy
in NW Wisconsin who is a quad and has been taken advantaged by his insurance
company who
has tried to do everything a cheap as possible. Copy him in your response to
me regarding your thoughts on his complaint.

<< Hello......
I must of been completely blind or just naive. Haven't been in "redman" chair
since we got it in September, been making adjustments, changing parts etc.
Every time I get someone to work on it something else is wrong. I've had people
change the Omni display box, joystick, brain box, backrest, install laterals,
hours of programing you name it we have done it. Only company support was
telephone and emails no traveling technician like guaranteed. Got in chair Sunday
(tried) and Omni display showing same error code as months ago before new one
was installed. I'm tired of fixing something I haven't used!
I guess I'm curious what options do you think I have? I had to argue with
insurance company to get redman chair against there better jjudgment they had
trouble once before with them. Do you think I'm screwed or what? I figured you'd
be non-bis opinion, where do I start?
