I will be losing my insurance pretty soon, it's a state high risk insurance
and I no longer am there. I get Medicare in Aug. AZ dose not have a "high
risk insurance" for those with a pre-injury. 30 states do, but not AZ. The
state and my city seem to have some good programs if you have no money.
That's great, but it's no help for me. They should learn that a little help
now could save a lot later. They basically are encouraging my to spend all
my money so I can get service.
I'm willing to buy insurance, I pay $550 a month now. I must admit, my
insurance has been great, they bought me a ceiling lift, new chairs,
including a top-line Permobil, but I loose it soon. I will have to get by on
Medicare and what ever the supplemental covers. I worry it wont cover
enough. It will save me lots of money not having to buy my insurance. What
really sucks is I could have had that and the SS disability 5 years ago, but
just found out about it last year.
