Medicaid recipients have a whole new thing to look into and the application for help is outrageous and the
out-of-pocket costs are outrageous too!  The way it's set up... EVERYONE will fall through the cracks!

I read these articles and it didn't sound complicated to me. Since I am currently dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid will automatically be deemed eligible for low-income subsidies. Because my income is more than $9,570 but less than $12,920 I will have a co-pay $2/generic $5/brand-name. So I will be paying $12 monthly for the 3 prescriptions. I already pay $276 monthly "spend-down" to qualify for Medicaid so the $12 will count toward that. Bottom line, no more out-of-pocket expense than what I have now.
