My injury is C6 complete and I live alone. You can get a voice activated
telephone to call a friend, neighbor or 911. I was scared at first but sometimes
just knowing that you can call somebody can prevent some panic attacks. I also
have a canine companion but that's not much help if your hose is kinked or
twisted but she is very good company.
