Hi Greg,

My primary is an Internist, and if I need it he will refer me to a doctor from another medical specialty.  It works out well for me.  I've been to his Office ten times in the past ten years.  I have Home Health do my medical care, not my doctor, but in '93 when I told him that I'd only come in to see him once a year if he couldn't give me a medical reason for making me make two visits a year, he just accepted the one visit and charged more.  He did start charging me from the next charge scale up, so one visit costs me the same as two visits, but it's easier on me to pay the money.  I wonder why docs get bad reps.

If you're looking for good rehab doc in Phoenix either check with Barrow Neurological Institute or Banner Good Samaritan Rehabilitation Institute .  You should be able to connect to a good primary from either place.

Do you all see a GP Doc, or do you go mainly to a Rehab Doc?
I use to only see a rehab doc, but since my move to AZ, I see a GP, who has me go to a pain doc to get my meds. But I think I’m beyond my GP for anything quad related. Unfortunately, my insurance makes me see my primary doc, who supposed to then send me to the needed specialist. Someone once listed a name of a good rehab doc in the Phoenix area? I have to go to Barrows to see a Neurologist about an MRI on my neck.  I’d love to find someone closer to Chandler, AZ, but I doubt they have any.
Thanks,
Greg
