Derrick, The last time I had a major AD episode like you're describing was from being constipated. Even after my problem was solved I continued with the BAD headaches for a few weeks every time I did my bowel program. It got better as time went by, but it did linger. That was the only time that it has happened with the lingering. A few other times it has happened with a clogged catheter, but the AD (headache) went away after the catheter was changed. Something is for sure going on and you need to find the problem ASAP. To me AD is scary. Hope it clears up soon.

I called my aide and she catheted me and i did my bowel regime. I am not sure which one helped relieve but it recided. I got up and felt okay all day. At 1am i have another espisode. My aide came and catheted me and I felt fine. I was okay all day again until i voided some urine at 5:30pm. I had another major head rush and headache. It went away after i urinated. So, i thought i better get checked out at the local "hick" emergency room. The doctor told me i do not know what we can do about this and he has never heard of AD. I told them to run a urine and blood test. Every test was negative. Now today, i get a head rush and pounding headache everytime i void urine through condom catheter. The AD is more intense now -since a major AD - then it usually was the past 10 years when i voided urine. Does the AD leave a several day hangover of AD? Like i said the AD sysptoms go away after i void. They do not continue. Even the major AD episode did not leave the syptoms continue, they just went away. Except a lingering minor headache. I never had a major AD so I am not sure if something is still wrong with me below my injury or if it is a lingering affect. Has anyone else had lingering effects after AD? Does the AD go completely away after you relieve the cause? Thanks, Derrick W c-5, 10 years post
