Been there, done that.

Problem: You get blackballed by the agency and other agencies find out 'so
and so' complains too much. Bottom line - THE DO NOT CARE!!! I have NEVER
ONCE made an unjustified request but you're automatically seen as "a problem
 if you start yappin.

Get this ... When I was trying to arrange my bladder-stone-removal surgery
in May ... I was told BY THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE to ask this, that & that.
Simple questions. I was kind and friendly and asking my questions.
SOMEWHERE an employee got a wild hair up their ass [no idea who but I only
spoke to 3-5 folks] and my doctor told me a few months ago that A STAR got
put next to my name [as a problem patient] for I have no idea what in the
first place!!!

My Dr is a gem and stood up for me and told them to remove the STAR but once
branded .... :-( I know because I've had to leave urgent messages for my
Dr and she never got them [I had to leave 3]. My Dr was livid and the woman
I left the messages with DENIED EVER talking with me! This staff person had
been causing other problems so THAT TIME I WAS BELIEVED!

I'm so weary of being called a liar that I'm now going to record
conversations [AZ ya can W/O the other party knowing] because it has gotten
to the point of ludicrous. From Dr's staff to agency staff to customer
service of ANY kind!

Medicare-only paid home help is the worst [since 1999 when they changed
their payment system to agencies to try and cut down on Medicare fraud ...
But it only made it worse and HURT patients needing AIDES badly ... But it's
the government!!!].

* Since 2000 we have contacted Senators over & over & over to no avail.

* We've written to Dateline, 20-20, 60 Minutes and all the rest. Even
trying different 'avenues' so they'd WANT to choose to make it worth a story
Like "Discrimination" or "Left to Die" etc etc etc to no avail.

* We've tried the local media [news or newspaper] and nada. Although THAT
would REALLY make agencies look for your name.

* Talked to the MEDICARE OMBUDSMAN [great person] over the last 6 yrs
because of the dilemma and SHE is THE ONE of highest contact on Medicare
abuse. She admits that since Medicare has no teeth [to chew these agencies
out] ... It's a dead end. She tells me to try all the other things I've
just mentioned.

It's one big joke! The agency can use ANY excuse they want and get away
with it. The ONLY justice will be when it's THEIR asses in bed or loved one
s but JUSTICE nowadays? To laugh, To laugh!

Very easy to say they need to be accountable, turned in, etc but HAPPEN?
NOPE!

Subject: Agency Help Over the Holidays

Any agency that receives state or federal funding, and forgets a client over
the holidays should be charged in Federal Court for endangerment and
abandonment. The agency should be made public for the world to see. Their
names should be headlined on the news and in the press for all to see. That
is truly unforgivable ..

BTW, Warrior went in the hospital last Friday with a major temperature and
infection. Munster Community Rm 351. I talked with her yesterday by phone
and she hopes to be released by Wednesday if they determine the cause of the
infection.

Hi Lori,

Believe me, I thought that I was going to have a panic attack. I took little
sips of my water, just enough to wet my dry mouth & I didn't want to drink
too much, fear of filling my UDBag. Thankgoodness I have a 4000cc bag. Yes I
was afraid my bag was going to burst or I would have autonomic dysreflexia,
luckily I didn't. I am on M-W-F bowel program, so that wasn't a worry. Then
5pm Sunday a CNA showed up & brother was I pissed off!!! On Monday the
Nursing Agency was apologizing.
