Some insurance companies will take the lead that CMS established back on November 2006. If you can ambulate one step, you don't need a powered wheelchair. If you can't ambulate and you are evaluated by a certified OT and have Order for Medical Equipment from a Licensed Medical Doctor of Rehab Medicine, and the order is coded properly, you have a much better chance of getting a new electric wheelchair. Keep in mind that CMS is trying to find 10 National DMEs to bid on all contract for powered wheelchair, may eliminate a lot of small DME from bidding and prolong the process, down the road. Who knows. Just keep plugging away. W In a message dated 2/2/2007 6:23:33 P.M. Central Standard Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:
