"Bind" isn't my choice of words, but you're certainly welcomed in my pidgeon
hole. The able bodied are a group. That group is called the majority and you
are not in their group. Now, on this political landscape the conservatives want
no change from the status quo. If your a radical minority member you want
changes like curb cuts, equall access to public places and rights that the
majority take for granted, you left wing radical, YOU!

A commonality of our condition does not bind you and me. To your logic then
the able bodied are "a group". So, what of it? Please do not begin calling me
brother.

As quadriplegic, we are a minority within the disabled community. A member
regardless of any other group we belong(ed) to.
It is a minority which binds us together, regardless of race, creed, gender, or
monitary class. In a way, we are a minority in which all other social barriers
are meaningless. The commonality of our condition strips away the barriers
affecting the temporarily able bodied.
