All you will really get is opinions. What do you need from a chair? I have found that I am indoors or on pavement mostly, so center wheel drive works best. If your crawling over terrain, front wheel drive is probably more your style. If you want to eat carpets with it, get all wheel drive. Most chairs don't get stuck, the rider does. Rear wheel drive is about the worst, but some people like it. Got to remember to take obstacles at an angle, one wheel at a time. Reclining is important to most of us. it makes it easier to adjust us in the chair. Tilt in space helps relieve pressure. Ask for foot plates that are under your whole foot, not heel plates! This can save you from breaking your leg when in tight maneuvers. The biggest batteries supply the most power longest. You don't need gel cell batteries if you don't travel by air. You only need maintenance free batteries. Tires that don't go flat, don't go flat. If you want a seat that elevates or lowers so you can pull under nor! mal tables, forget it, that is a luxury. And don't forget your power wheelchair does not come with a seating system. You'll need another prescription for that. I use a TDX3 and it does very well. It isn't going to last seven years without some serious parts replacement. Don't be afraid to say you don't want the chair they try to give you if you don't like it. If you don't sign the paper, it's a 300lb paperweight. Don't forget a decent seatbelt you can use. I can't seem to find any sites that tell about powerchairs and how they operate indoors and outdoors........I'm getting frustrated argh!! I went to wheelchairjunkie.com but it just seems like a blog where people make statements and so on ? Also----It seems I recall Dave and Greg got new Quantum's or similar, How are those performing ?
