I take 5 mg of Ambien every night. I have been taken it for nearly a year. I can't really tell if the Ambien still works or not, because I take it at night time with about nine other pills, which all cause drowsiness. Most nights I fall asleep before my head hits the pillow would stay asleep until about noon the following day. When I first came home from the hospital, I could not sleep all night. I guess it took a while to get used to being home after being away for over a year.
