I have two microphones on booms to use for Frank, my environmental control unit.

For my headset microphone, which is just for my computer:

It does have a headpiece so you have the option of using it as a headset, or
as an earpiece. It stays in place both ways, pretty much, I usually never need
to be adjusted once it's been put on my head. I tried it as an earpiece once,
but it wasn't very comfortable that way. I just use the Plantronics for my
computer.

It takes 1-3 hours to charge. The charge lasts eight hours. It will beep in
your ear when the charge is getting low, before it stops working. You can set
it up to have more than one microphone, at least I do on my computer, and you
can have it changed by some of the options in the Dragon NaturallySpeaking
toolbar. Talk to your vendor to learn how to tell the computer that you're
switching microphones. There are some steps to do that, but it's no big deal.

I'm rarely on longer than eight hours a day, so that's not really an issue for
me. I don't know how long of a life it has before it won't charge
anymore, sorry. You could also ask the vendor about that, though.

I haven't had many problems with it. Aside from it not being recognized by the
computer once, it's been rather reliable. I've had it since August 2006. My
vendor guy told me how to get it to be recognized by the computer again. The
Freedom of Speech guys, (I go through Jon Swenson-Tellekson), are helpful and
polite.

Hope all of this helps-
  Angie.

Do you wear the Plantronics all the time even in bed or do you look at up
to a boom. What kinds of booms to other people use? One of mine is too short.
What kind of your earpiece are you using and do you have a link for that Angie?
Full headsets always fall off my head and your pieces don't always stay in my
ear ? What kind do you you use, that is the most reliable? How much charging
do you use each day and what do you use when it runs out of battery charge? The
cost also and how long do they last, before they will not charge any more?

  Thank you so much.

  Dana
