As a former state trooper and military police person, I was not necessarily
that tolerant of marijuana use back in the day, but once I was injured and
started to hear more about how people used it to control pain and
spasticity, it definitely changed my tune. I would have been laughed out of
my troop of by would have arrested a chronically ill individual or a
wheelchair bound person for using marijuana.

One of these days maybe they will legalize it and then I can get off the
three different types of spasticity medications I am currently taking.

John, you were so on target about the disrespect and other discrimination we
face on a daily basis. The only thing I can do is get out there and fight
the stereotype as much as possible.

lasts much longer. For me, it works better than morphine, but I can't afford
that much of it and I refuse to sell it. It isn't even addictive! The
morphine is covered by Medicare and Medicaid, ironically.
I think some of us may not suffer much pain and I thank god for you all. I
don't know what caused my pain to begin. I'd be happy to know if theres any
studies involving quads. I can't say I like taking the meds I take. Seems
there is a lot of things I don't like about my life. The meds are a minor
inconvienence compared to the disrespect I think many of us deal with. From
inaccessible buildings to batteries that loose there charge overnight and
salespeople ignoring us.

Yeah, just shut it. I'm sorry but if you're being serious, get a brain.
Haven't you noticed all of the Drug stores in your neighborhood? And don't

kid yourself about who the biggest drug dealers are; they're the
pharmaceutical companies who have the best ads on your tv, like Dow "the
human element". I would be the first to agree that not taking drugs is
healthier for your body in most cases, but drugs also exist for a good
purpose and they do save lives. I'm in the process of weaning myself off
of
morphine(prescribed by UF Shands MD), and although it may have been useful

for me for a time, its negative side effects (like loss of appetite) can
hurt your health as well. The propaganda you're repeating against drugs
ironically comes from drug companies! isn't that hilarious?! The drug
which certainly would be helpful and useful for many a truly needing
patient, is marijuana, and sadly it is the most ill-reputed drug out
there.
There are many reasons for your beliefs being what they are, and the facts

aren't one of them. Stay strong quads, Dylan
